Or not everybody experiences a spiritual gift as such.
Sometimes it can also be a burden. As every spiritual gift comes with a
lot of responsibility we often have to grow into the challenge. But keep
in mind that God would never give us anything we can't handle. We just
have to trust in God and ask for help.
The movie "The Sixth Sense" with Bruce Willis shows a
classic example of a Gift that was perceived as a burden. I highly
recommend all parents to watch this movie as most children are able to
see into the other worlds and it is better to be supportive of this
'gift' than to try to tell them that 'ghost' don't exist.
Children who are brought up with a sense of the other
world often develop into healers and seers.
